Since November 2017 I’ve been ticking off habits in Loop Habit Tracker, and now almost nine years of it are on one page: My habits

There are eleven habits: Duolingo, Anki, sign language, lectures, books, drawing, physical exercises, drinking water, programming, genealogy and weighing myself. Over 3,259 days that comes to 15,791 check-ins, about 4.8 a day. Anki has stayed on track for 3,240 days in a row, since 6 December 2017, and I actually did it on 3,203 of those days. Sign language, which I started in February 2020, has been done on 2,417 of 2,437 days. The busiest day was 14 May 2020, with 10 of 11 habits done.

Not every habit is meant to be daily. In Loop each one has its own target, like five times a week for languages, once a week for lectures and books, or once a month for genealogy. Once that target is met, the app marks the rest of the week or month as covered. So the page doesn’t just count ticks. It also shows whether a habit was on track: done that day, or already covered by the week’s or month’s target.

The page opens with a calendar of daily check-ins, one row and one color per year, where a darker cell means more habits done that day. Below it, every habit gets its own strip, and the color flows from month to month: dark blue while I kept to the target, fading out when I didn’t. You can see right away which habits became part of life, which come and go, and which faded out. Next come check-ins by year, month and weekday, Loop’s habit strength score for each habit, records, and tables with all the numbers. Use the tabs at the top or the ← / → keys to switch years.

It looks a lot like Mi activity, and that’s on purpose. It’s built the same way, with a shared look. A small Python script turns the app’s CSV export into one tidy set of files, and a second one builds a single static index.html with hand-written SVG charts and no libraries. It works in light and dark mode and on phones.

I made it together with Claude Code.
