Six years after its launch, I have given 2020cherkassk a major update. The project is my way of showing that Novocherkassk has much more to discover than its best-known landmarks.

The Places section is now much richer. I added monuments, mansions, Soviet architecture, more churches and landmarks, as well as large photo collections devoted to doors, windows, entrance canopies, manhole covers and the small details that give the city its character. There is even a gallery of Novocherkassk references found in other cities.

The leveling marks now have an online map, with direct links between every photographed mark and its location. Place pages are also connected to the postcards and stickers that feature them, making the different parts of the project much easier to explore.

I also refreshed the project page, added navigation between galleries and places, improved photo viewing, and optimized the images so the site loads faster on both desktop and mobile.
